The Animated Short Film That Explains The Truth About Money

In 2011, Tad Lumpkin and Harold Uhl teamed up to create and release an animated short film entitled ‘The Collapse of the American Dream.’ The film follows the story of Pile, an average american citizen hoping to achieve the widely sought-after American Dream that so many of us to this day still strive for. Since it’s release, the film has received mixed reviews and feelings from its viewers. Most seem to agree and find great value in the educational basis behind the first half, as the film does effectively explain a great deal of the history and creation of the monetary system we still depend on to this day. The second half however drifts a little deeper down the rabbit hole and as a result has received the ‘conspiracy’ label from a great number of its viewers and critics.

Check out the film for yourself to see what does…

Our Actions Are More Powerful Than We Realize

David Swanson writes:

Almost every [history of past activism] includes belated discoveries of the extent to which government officials were influenced by activist groups even while pretending to ignore popular pressure.

These revelations can be found in the memoirs of the government officials as well, such as in George W. Bush's recollection of how seriously the Republican Senate Majority Leader was taking public pressure against the war on Iraq in 2006.

Of course, activism that appears ineffectual at the time can succeed in a great many ways, including by influencing others, even young children, who go on to become effective activists — or by influencing firm opponents who begin to change their minds and eventually switch sides.

The beautiful thing about nonviolent activism is that, while risking no harm, it has the potential to do good in ways…

China Deletes Online Documentary on Forced Evictions

ZombieChicken.org

Authorities in the eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu have deleted a hard-hitting online documentary about the harsh realities of forced eviction, filmed and produced by a group of evictees whose complaints through official channels led nowhere.

The documentary, titled “Let the Images Fly,” a reference to the title of a well-known movie “Let the Bullets Fly,” includes interviews with people evicted suddenly and violently from their homes by demolition gangs after they refused to sign a compensation deal with the local government.

Close relatives of China’s top leaders have held secretive offshore companies in tax havens that helped shroud the Communist elite’s wealth, a leaked cache of documents reveals.

The confidential files include details of a real estate company co-owned by current President Xi Jinping’s brother-in-law and British Virgin Islands companies set up by former Premier Wen Jiabao’s son and also by his son-in-law.

Nearly 22,000 offshore clients with addresses in mainland China and Hong Kong appear in the files obtained by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists.  Among them are some of China’s most powerful men and women — including at least 15 of China’s richest, members of the National People’s Congress and executives from state-owned companies entangled in corruption scandals.

PricewaterhouseCoopers, UBS and other Western banks and accounting firms play a key role as middlemen in helping Chinese clients set up trusts and companies in the British Virgin…

Three years after the “Arab Spring” toppled Hosni Mubarak, a secretive field marshal with a cult-like following is expected to announce his candidacy for the presidency of Egypt ahead of elections which he is expected to win easily.

Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, 59, has been urged to run by members of the public who reject the Islamist government he toppled last year, and by members of the armed forces who want a president who can face down growing political violence.

On Monday, Egypt’s top military council gave him the green light to seek the presidency, and the interim president he installed six months ago promoted him to field marshal from general.

Khoi leaders seek to be recognised by the Western Cape provincial government.

Khoi leaders seek to be recognised by the Western Cape provincial government.(SABC)

Khoi leaders in the Western Cape have accused the provincial government of not recognising them, as is the case with other traditional leaders in other provinces. They met with APC leader Themba Godi in Athlone to voice out their concerns.
Godi says the APC believes that traditional leaders, as well as religious leaders, should be at the forefront of nation-building. Paramount Chief of the Goringhai Cona Tribe, Dowry Dextrie Aran, says they have tried a number of times to talk to the provincial government, but it has been in vain.
Aran says: “I feel that our people are really suffering here and as a leader called by Almight God, I feel I must promote our people so that our culture and the heritage will go on and our language, the Khokhowa, will be promoted.”

Meanwhile, the Western Cape government has denied the Khoi leaders’  allegations that it is refusing to recognise them. It says there is  currently no legislation that recognises the leadership.

Provincial  Local Government Minister Anton Bredell says they’re seeking to  establish a commission to look at how the claim of the Khoi to  traditional leadership can be authenticated.

Bredell says: “Some  of the Khoi people must understand that they must really work with  government and not start and promote their own groupings interest  because there’s huge differences within the Khoi community on who is the real Khoi leaders, who is going to decide that and that’s what is really difficult here.”

Charter Schools: Rothschild’s System Of Corporate Governance Of Children!

Political Vel Craft

“What is so mind boggling is that all of this [Charter Schools] is being financed by the American people themselves through their own taxes.

In other words, the American people are underwriting the destruction of their own freedom and way of life by lavishly financing through federal grants the very social scientists who are undermining our national sovereignty and preparing our children to become the dumbed-down vassals of the new world order. It reminds one of how the Nazis charged their victims train fare to their own doom.” – Samuel L. Blumenfeld

Ukraine’s Opposition Leaders Shun President’s Peace Deal

World

More than two months into the popular revolt in Ukraine, the barricades of ice and barbed wire still stand in the center of Kiev. The barrel fires smolder. And at dawn on Sunday, protesters camped out on Independence Square still broke into their hourly rendition of the national anthem, “Ukraine Has Not Yet Died.” Nor, clearly, has the violent uprising against President Viktor Yanukovych. The power-sharing agreement he offered his opponents on Saturday night, following a week of rioting in the center of his capital, was rejected within hours by the opposition leaders.

“No deal,” tweeted one of them, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, who was offered the post of Prime Minister in a bid to appease the protesters. “We’re finishing what we started. The people decide our leaders, not you,” he wrote to the embattled President.

Even a week ago, it would have been hard to imagine the President ceding…
